During a course project, I collaborated with the native app developer for the Boise State app and three other designers to make improvements to the current app's design and functions. For my portion of the project, I was in charge of creating the first mobile space for Boise State Athletics. The key features of this space include media, roster, ticket purchasing, and game schedules. A generic game schedule will also appear on the landing page and sport-specific schedules will appear on the sport- specific home pages. This schedule is not meant to work as a full season schedule, as that exists on the sport-specific schedule page. The schedule on top on the landing screen and sport-specific home screens will only provide the previously played game, the next up, and the game immediately after that. Eventually, we want to be able to obtain the resources to capture in-game scores. If that occurs it will replace the short game schedule at the top of these pages. Currently, we are negotiating with funding for the technology to post a schedule on the homepage as represented.
Ultimately, the key features of this design we want to ensure make it into first rounds of coding and funding are the sports pages, rosters, schedules, and availability to purchase tickets straight from the app! We would love to facilitate a space for news articles and even tweets from team pages to scroll through, much like isntragram's infinite scroll.
Two years after graduating the program at Boise State and in turn leaving this project, the current developed look is shown above! I know that the amazing team at Boise State Athletics and the Boise State Undergraduate Graphic Design Program will continue to make improvements and grow this project for years to come!
